Osama Elwan
Managing Director, Middle East Division |
|
Mr. Osama Elwan has recently joined the HHB Team as The Managing Director, Middle East Division. Mr. Elwan has been chosen for his dedication and stamina to establish a regional office in Egypt, the heart of the promising ME region. His inner drive to improve the quality of life in the ME will definitely be a great asset to HHB which mainly aims at improving the quality of life through technology.
Mr. Elwan brings 28 years of experience in the fields of Information Technology, Communications and System Integration. Starting as an operating system specialist, he moved up to the position of managing director of ASP, a company which provides total solutions. During those years, Mr. Elwan accumulated major achievement such as:
· Introducing Unix machines to Middle East during his work with NCR.
· Re-introducing HP in Egypt by establishing Orascom Computers Division and closing several sales deals.
· Designed & successfully implementing the reservation system for Egyptian National Railways with a total value of GBP 7M.
· Establishing the 1st private Data Carrier in Egypt which acquired 95% of market share (financial sector) within the 1st year.
· Establishing the premier data center in the Middle East (ECC).
He has also done some teaching on operating systems, developing major accounts strategies and management. His impeccable performance and inner drive has won him several awards among which are, ICL Excellence Award on outstanding performance and Best Sales Manager for ICL MEA Region.
Mr. Elwan carriers a BA in Business Administration from Cairo University. He believes that to technology knows no borders and a fair knowledge of it along with a smooth access, should be available to everyone. |
